The guides are compact tutorials that present PlanetLab Europe in a "crash course" format. Experienced PlanetLab users may want to review through the guides, as information changes over time.
- User's Guide
The User's Guide is targeted at users of PlanetLab Europe: researchers, educators, and students who run experiments, develop applications, or maintain services on PlanetLab. The User's Guide contains a short primer on account maintenance that is useful for new Principal Investigators and Technical Contacts as well.
- Principal Investigator's Guide (PI Guide)
The Principal Investigator's Guide is targeted at those responsible for overseeing their site's participation in PlanetLab Europe. If you are a Principal Investigator who has appointed a separate Technical Contact to handle the day-to-day administration of your nodes, you should still read this Guide to gain a basic understanding of node operation. Some sections of the PI's Guide overlap with the Technical Contact's Guide.
- Technical Contact's Guide (Tech Guide)
The Technical Contact's Guide is targeted at those responsible for installing or administering PlanetLab Europe nodes. If you are a Principal Investigator who has appointed a separate Technical Contact to handle the day-to-day administration of your nodes, you should still read this Guide to gain a basic understanding of node operation.
- Site Migration Guide
The Site Migration Guide is targeted at the Principal Investigator of a European site who wants to join PlanetLab Europe. You should read this guide to see how to proceed.
